Electro-Deposition

MEC offers state-of-the-art E-coat (electro-deposition) finishing and painting. E-Coating creates a highly durable epoxy finish that can be top-coated with a variety of paints. Our Therma-Tron E-Coat system provides:

• Load sizes to 8-foot length, 4-foot width, and 2-foot depth, to accommodate sizable parts.
• Automated 11-stage pre-treatment system (cleaning, rinsing, and pickling) for maximum E-Coat bonding.
• Epoxy film coating is precisely maintained from .5 mil. to 1.0 mil. by an automatic voltage modulation system.
• Continuous statistical process control and trending assures consistent finish quality.
• Zinc phosphate is applied to all parts, enhancing corrosion protection.
